LeCabron?

Y4NMJ8U58GP4

After receiving about 25 text messages from Hater J dissing Lebron (including one that called him LeCabron), I figured it would be a good time to put up a post defending my hero. Unfortunately, I don't have much of a defense.

I think there are two teams in the East that are more talented than the Heat - the Celtics and the Bulls. *Don't sleep on the Bulls - they have the current MVP, quality big guys, super athletic Africans, and some quality role players. The Heat's role players, outside of the Big 3 (including the under-performing, Ru Paul impersonator Chris Bosh), are really, really crappy. Their 4th, 5th, and 6th best players are two washed up bums (Miller and Bibby) and one guy (James Jones) that was never good to begin with. Their centers (Big Z, Joel Anthony, and Dexter Pittman) make Mozgov look like Wilt Chamberlain.

Still, their problem isn't the shitty pieces they have around the Big 3. What has been their Achilles heel is their failure to win close games. LeBron has not been coming up big in the deciding moments, when they need him most. If they are to have success in the playoffs, Lebron is going to have to turn it on and hit some game-winning shots. We'll have to wait until the post-season to see, but the El Heat should not lose any sooner than the Eastern Conference finals.

P.S. At least there are still some players around that make LeBron look great in comparison. Jared Jeffries followed up a game where he scored no points and fouled out in 20-something minutes with a 0 point, 3 rebound performance.

  1. Missing game winners is something that happens to every player. The issue is how he just isn't a factor at all in big moments of big games. Yesterday, every time the Bulls came on and started chipping at the 10 point lead they had, Wade took the ball and LeBum seemed about as significant as the role players. In the fourth quarter...he again was a non factor. He made a great pass and scored a solid bucket in the last two minutes...but where was that energy the rest of the quarter?

As the games get bigger, LePunk seems smaller. His stat line for the game is one that most players would love (26 pts, 8 Reb, 6 Asst) but it resembles A-Rod hitting a 3 run homer in a game the Yanks are winning by 5 runs.

I hear he gave a press conference about not letting his team down anymore. That was like Mike Piazza having a press conference about not being gay. If you have to give a press conference about being lame/gay...you're probably lame/gay.
