By now I'm sure you've seen this video of a ditzy blonde girl with a valley girl accent making fun of Asians in her school library. While all of us may say stupid things most of the time in our private lives, common sense dictates you don't post a video making fun of Asians shortly after an earthquake wiped out Japan. Now she is surprised she is getting death threats and needs police protection on campus....welcome to the modern age of the internet. I'm not sure what she thought was going to happen, but she learned the hard way that great cleavage only gets you so much sympathy.
Now that we've established that she has no brains, let's turn to the NY Daily News comments section to see what the best and brightest have to say on the topic.

ReplyDeleteAbout the chick who should do porn...I think she's just an idiot that shouldn't be in school because she's an idiot. If I'm running a school, I kick her out because I don't want idiots ruining my school's "brand". That's independent of her ignorance. If I were Asian, I don't know if I would take too much offense. If an idiot, with no power to do anything but rant off a few insensitive comments, says something stupid…who cares? It's not like this bimbo is going to start a movement against Asians on campus or something.

I can't support someone speaking retarded and insensitive nonsense, then saying, "Well, it's my right to."
Freedom of speech is a privilege that people take too far. For example, there is a group protesting some funerals, saying its God's punishment for the deceased's support of homosexuality. I find it wrong to use your American privilege to maliciously hurt someone else. At PTU we pick on athletes and others all the time. However, saying things like LeBron is a chump, or Jeffries is worst Knick of all time, is a little bit different.
I agree with Hater J., but I think they still have the right to be stupid. They just have to accept the repercussions that go along with that. It is funny that she is surprised people are pissed off.

ReplyDeleteHer being kicked out would be the easy way out. Let her stay and deal with all the people who now fucking hate her at UCLA. It's far worse to have people stare at you knowing what kind of racist you truly are, than to escape and not having to deal with those you have offended.
Not offended. You can't get worked up over every racist and ignorant person out there. There's too many. Save your time and energy for things that matter.
