Bet Time

Split day yesterday. That fat asshole, Kung Fu Panda, had his typically poor defensive effort that seemed to be contagious as the Giants put up 3 errors in a one run loss. The Yanks took care of business at homework CC laboring 6 and the pen locking down last 3. If you laid the odds on both games you were down 10 bucks. Let's see if we can win a little today.

Toronto (-130) Twins - Fresh off his PTU Dog House induction, Carl Pavano gets on opening day start in Toronto. Carl is 3-5 lifetime against Toronto with an ERA of 5.91 and a WHIP of 1.516. On the other hand, the upstart Jays start RickyRomero.

Ricky is a career 2-0 against the Twinkies with an ERA of 2.78 and a WHIP of 1.059.

It doesn't take much for me to bet against Carl, and those numbers look to support a bet against that asshole.

Anaheim (-140) Kansas City - Dan Haren boasts a 4-1 record against the Royals with an ERA of 1.99 and a WHIP of 1.067.

For the Royals, Jeff Francis brings in a respectable ERA of 3.46 and a WHIP of 1.462 vs the Angels.

This game has mild upset potential, but I really can't see it happening. K.C. tried to rally late yesterday but when you're starting a group of pinch hitters...you're gonna lose that battle more than not.
