Knicks need to make this move

If the Daily News's sources are right and this isn't another b.s. story from out of Carmelo's camp, then the Knicks really are idiots. The Nuggets supposed offer of Melo and Billups for Gallinari, Felton, Curry, a draft pick and another starter would work out perfectly. Billups, though past his prime, is probably still better than Felton and can be bought out in time to pick up Chris Paul or Deron Williams. If this is about holding onto Landry Fields or Wilson Chandler then there is no hope for the Knicks. Might as well bring back Isiah to run things.

  1. Knicks should give up Gallinari, Felton, Fields, a draft pick (traded for Randolph) and Curry's contract. Get Carmelo and Billups in return, and let Billups leave in free agency at the end of next season. Giving up Chandler instad of Fields or Gallo would be nice but it doesn't seem likely.

There's this mention of another starter... who could it be? It's not Amare. Is it possible the Nuggets are negotiating to get Mozgov?

  2. I think the other starter would have to be Chandler or Fields. They need to get it done.

  3. It has to be Fields or Chandler. Bottle Boy may be the only person who thinks Timofey is trade bait.

Question Mr. Bottle, has Mozgov made your tall white man Mount Rushmore yet?

  4. I thought Fields was already included. It must be Landry then - although Chandler is a good all-around player, no one really wants him.

Mozgoz has shown some potential. For all the hype around Fields, Mozgoz may have a greater upside.
