I have analyzed the trade scenarios.
Nuggets probably dont want Bynum - although he's young, he's always injured... Bynum straight up for Carmelo would fit in the collective bargaining guidelines.
They are saying other pieces would have to be involved though.. I'm thiking they would want to add Al Harrington in the trade, since he has a few years left on his contract.
Lakers would probably have to trade Artest to afford him, and no one in their right mind would want Artest's contract.
If the Nuggest make the trade, Bynum's contract is up after next season (as is Billup's), so they could save a ton of money at that point if they let guys go.
Still.... unless Lakers can come up with a crazy three or four team trade, they are probably not getting Carmelo.
Adding Carmelo would be perfect for them though... sign him for three more years, him and Kobe can play together until the end of Kobe's contract, when he retires.
Basically they'd have Kobe, Carmelo, and Gasol together for the next 3 years.
Most likely the Nuggets are trying to push for more leverage on the Knicks.
I'm thinking they want an extra piece... Curry's contract, Randolph, and Chandler aren't that great.
I would guess they are trying to get Landry Fields included in the trade.
75% chance he's in New York
15% Lakers
10% stay in Denver
